What A Weekend ! Time To Start Again !

Wow, well what a weekend !
We had planned with some friends to head to the Alan Jackson concert and make a short weekend of it ! We ended up at a great little resort to see Mr Alan Jackson himself ! First of all let me tell you, my husband had driven me just about to the edge of NUTS ! But it got so much better when he said he knew where he was ” going ” and didn’t need a map.
Well I had been there several times, but you know how it is.. couples traveling together, the women end up in the backseat and we have the one driver ( my husband of course ) and my friends husband in the passenger side with a GPS system !
Oh great and did I mention I get horribly car sick ? Great way to lose a few lbs that’s for sure LOL ! So off we go, the whole plan I was supposed to drive when we got to the windy stuff but oh , that’s right, another man thing.. God forbid if the WIFE drives ! So I got stuck in the back seat and he assured me he had a short cut. Short cut my ASS ! What should have taken us 1 hour and 45 minutes took us almost 4 HOURS and on top of that, the last 3 hours were twists and turns.. Oh yes, you guessed it ! Sicker than a dog ! Of course my hubby assured me it was all in my ” mind ” .. Oh he found out, not so !
So I had a whole hour to recover before the concert ! Not good ! So I sucked it up and got changed good, and figured, ok I’ll worry about getting home the next day ( Saturday ).. On the way out to the concert ( my head was still spinning and it wasn’t because I had started to tailgate by myself that is for sure LOL ) .. So I handed my husband my DAY planner, which happens to contain, well just about my whole life.. Credit cards, License, Phone book, computer PASSWORDS and more… Oh yes, full checkbook too and lots of other stuff… He said I’ll put it with my ” important ” stuff so we wont forget it..
Of course checkout time arrives and I asked him did you get my stuff.. Yep, sure did.. So you took it all out from where you hid it ( under the couch he told me with the keys ) Sure he has it… well after driving yes, 3 more hours ( oh wait I wasn’t driving, that’s right, I got ousted to the back seat of my car again ) We stop to have some lunch and so I can toss my cookies.. I was a bit late to the table, because Yes, you guessed it… I was sick… again ! But I sucked it up, went into the brewery and sat down and asked my husband if he would retrieve my day planner as my friend and I were planning another weekend in Sept… Day planner my husband asks ?
Oh god, I thought my world was going to be rocked….He said well I didn’t think you meant that when you asked me if I had everything ??? WHAT ?? What in the hell did he think I meant ??? I tell you if this is a marriage test, we’ve been testing ! AHHHHH !!!
So we call the resort, well they were getting ready for the next performer that night and no one was available, not only that, the room we stayed in, the opening act for Carrie Underwood had just checked into the room ! I asked my husband and he said he had hid it on top of the kitchen cabinet ?? Hmmm, that’s weird ! So for the last 24 hours I have freaked out. We couldn’t go back as I was so sick, and even if we did they could not let us in the room until they checked out today !
Luckily the friend that was with us called a guy he knew and after many calls on our part to the resort they FOUND my day planner and it has now been retrieved ! So lessons to be learned here…
1) Don’t put your man in charge of your life or your belongings LOL
2) Do not carry your life around with you ! Leave all the important stuff at home ! I am planning on doing something different with my information.
3) If its your car, screw it sit in the front and drive ! Who cares what the other couple thinks ! If they don’t like it they can take their own car ! LOL
So that was my weekend, I am now off to relax after a very stressful weekend !!!! By the way, concert was great ! Next weekend is Sammy Hagar and the Scorpions then a Beer fest the next day ! What am I thinking ? I am thinking my day planner will rest safely at home and you better but your butt I’ll be driving !!

So I am off to bed, and you have got to be kidding, he doesnt really think that, well you know ?? Yep, he just ran through the house, turned of the lights as he walked by and closed the bedroom door
